THE BALM OF GILEAD

OPENING SCRIPTURE: Genesis 31:20-23

REFERENCES: Psalm 60:6-7 , 1 Kings 17: 1

The word ‘Gilead’ is from the Hebrew word ‘Gilad’ which means a rocky region. ‘Gilad’ further stems from ‘Galyed’ which means a witness heap.

From the opening scripture we understood that it’s a six-day journey from Syria to Gilead. Creation we all know took six days but the seventh day was declared a day of rest for the Lord. It was declared the sabbath (ie; THE DAY OF THE LORD).

Walking into Gilead clearly means ‘walking into the rest of the Lord; a place of total dependence on the Lord’.

The Balm of Gilead puts emphasis on the life we have received as born again. Balm is used for medicinal purposes… The scriptures also made reference to the leaves of the tree of life being used for the healing of the nations. The tree of life is our Lord Himself, making Him our Balm.

The Balm of Gilead richly talks of walking vitally in healing experiences and the rest of the Lord.

This year the Lord will be dealing with our hearts and will make known unto us the hidden things inside our heart and about our personality. The kingdom man within shall be unveiled in you for increase and dominance.

2016 IS OUR YEAR OF THE BALM OF GILEAD. WE ARE BOUND TO EXPERIENCE A GREAT DEAL OF HEALING FROM OUR WALK WITH THE LORD!!!
